Auto Maintenance: Choosing One Repair Shop

One of the things I learned from my dad is that it pays to find a good auto repair shop and stick with it. True enough, I have tried using more than one shop, based on what I needed done to my car. Every time, I found myself going back to one shop that knew my car and the car's history. I had found that shop not too long ago. They had offered help with everything from rebuilding engines to dent repair. The shop is located near my home, and they keep records that went back for years. Thanks to the long history, they always knew what to do when something was not working as it should. If you think that finding one shop to meet all your needs is a good idea, let me help. With a little effort, you'll know exactly where to take your vehicle any time it needs some work.

Maximizing Your Used Car Sales

by Noelle Snyder

If you own a dealership that deals with a used car inventory, or if you own a used car service, you will want to use whatever means you can to sell your inventory. By taking the time to advertise your used car selection, you may be able to maximize the number of sales that you obtain. Here are some tips that you can use to help your business make the most profit possible on your used car inventory.

Offer Incentives

If you try selling your used car inventory with added bonuses, such as a limited warranty or a money-back guarantee, you will be apt to make more sales. People feel at ease knowing that they are not going to be held to a sale without being able to return or fix a flawed item without cost.

Another idea is to offer payment plans on used vehicles. This will entice people with lesser income to be able to enjoy being able to purchase a vehicle. Since buying a used car is a gamble, having incentives to make the process feel safer will help boost your money intake.

Use Media

Using social media and web pages to show your inventory will help entice customers to come to your establishment to see what deals you have available. Putting pictures of the vehicles for sale will help show customers that there are decent vehicles that can be bought for an agreeable amount.

Send weekly reminders via email to your customer base in case they may be on the hunt for another vehicle. Word of mouth may spread to new customers if older ones see a deal a friend may be interested in. Hold special events that will be primarily to show your used car inventory. Having specials help bring people to the dealership to browse.

Switch Out Inventory

Keeping the same vehicles on your lot can be a downside if people drive past regularly. They will see that there is a lull in sales if you keep vehicles in the same spots for an extended period of time. Try moving vehicles around to showcase different ones each week.

If you are having trouble selling a few of your vehicles, consider sending them to an auction company for smaller profit. You will be making room for other vehicles, perhaps making a sale on something you newly acquired instead. If you have more than one establishment selling used vehicles, swap out some of the longest sitters between lots so that they can be seen by different groups of people. Talk to other local dealers, such as Grey Chevrolet Inc, for more information.
